An organizational assessment · 40 statements · 9 themes · about 40 minutes

What kind of organization do we become when we use AI here?

Most AI readiness checklists ask whether you have a policy. This one asks whether you can see the system you're changing — and whether you've designed the work so it stays yours.

Part One · Themes 1–4

Seeing clearly

Can you see what these systems actually are, what your purpose is, what the wider system is made of, and what must stay human? Most of the damage from AI adoption happens here — before any tool is chosen.

Part Two · Themes 5–9

Designing the work

Have you designed for what AI adds, what it draws from, how its output enters the room, who is accountable, and how you'd exit? Seeing clearly without building is the most common gap the diagnostic finds.

How to rate

Rate each statement 1–5. Use the notes to say what makes you say that, and name one thing that would raise your rating by a point. If you're doing this as a team, each person fills it out alone first — then bring your ratings together and don't just average them.

1–2
Doesn't reflect us

A blind spot — where you're least equipped to see or design clearly. A low score is a gift: it tells you where to look.

3
Aware, not built in

Aware, not yet practiced. You know the idea but haven't built the habit.

4–5
Reflects us well

A claim to test, not a finish line. Run it against a real use case with the people it affects in the room.

One caution.

The most dangerous result is a confident wall of 4s and 5s. Overestimating how clearly you already see, or how much of this work you've already done, is where the trouble usually starts. Rate honestly — a low score is a gift. It tells you where to look.

What you get

Forty minutes. You'll get a clear-eyed read of where your organization actually is — theme scores, an honesty check, where to focus — plus a brief you can bring to a conversation. If you want that conversation with me, the coaching hour includes the diagnostic.

Prefer paper? — all 40 statements on two pages, included with your purchase.
